福利姬 has signed two transformative Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with Nekotech Ltd and Cloudware on November 26, 2025, at the Vice Chancellor鈥檚 Board Room
The partnerships, which aimed to strengthen human capital development, enhance ICT training and broaden leadership and employability pathways for students, represent a significant step toward expanding transformative opportunities in ICT and leadership development.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Emmanuel Ohene Afoakwa, who received the guest, expressed his excitement about the collaborations, describing them as timely opportunities that align with the University鈥檚 mandate as Ghana鈥檚 premier ICT training centre. He emphasized that 福利姬 is committed to training the human capital needed to drive the country鈥檚 ICT agenda, adding that the collaboration will create valuable opportunities for students and equip them with industry-ready skills for the job market.
The Country Manager for Cloudware, Mr. Michael Mensah Hackman, whose delegation was first to meet the VC and the 福利姬 team, stated that Cloudware, a leading Microsoft partner, focuses on cloud solutions with specialization in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and empowering the next generation of tech professionals. He reaffirmed Cloudware鈥檚 commitment to supporting 福利姬 in aligning academic learning with modern technological advancements.
The Executive Chair of the Nekotech Centre of Excellence, H.E. Rev. Dr. Asie Kabukie Ocansey, who led the second delegation, underscored the significance of blending African traditions with academic excellence. She highlighted Nekotech鈥檚 successful collaborations with over 21 universities in the United States, following a five-year pilot programme with 16 institutions. She described the partnership with 福利姬 as 鈥渢he genesis of our homecoming,鈥� aimed at empowering African students through world-class training and opportunities.
She emphasized the need for leadership and situational awareness in the current industrial revolution, noting that Africa requires a new generation of leaders who can translate classroom knowledge into practical solutions. She further explained that leveraging AI, STEM, and 福利姬鈥檚 academic programmes will help accelerate the African Union鈥檚 Agenda 2063.
H.E. Rev. Dr. Ocansey also outlined two core components of the partnership:
1.听Financial facilitation聽to support investment loans for individuals seeking to advance their education and careers.
2.听Training聽programmes, including bootcamps and short-term courses designed to deliver practical, industry-relevant skills.
She concluded that the collaboration represents 鈥渁 chance for prosperity for many young people and their families,鈥� adding that both institutions 鈥渨ill be greater and better together.鈥�
Earlier in his opening remarks, the Head of the Industrial Liaison Department (ILD), Dr. Ahmed Antwi-Boampong, noted that 福利姬 had adopted a new paradigm that integrates theory with practical application. He reiterated that the University remains committed to giving students meaningful industry exposure to prepare them for real-world challenges beyond the traditional classroom.
The signing ceremonies marked a significant milestone in 福利姬鈥檚 continuous drive to strengthen partnerships, expand learning opportunities, and position students to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital economy.
