
A 腦瞳憫 Sports Contingent, led by the Director of Sports, Dr. Emmanuel Yaw Asaasie, has successfully participated in the recently held Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) Minor Games and Cross-Country Race Competitions hosted by the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD) in Somanya, from 27thOctober to 2nd November 2025.
The performance of the Contingent, which was made up of 15 athletes, 2 student leaders and 3 officials, left a significant impression at the event for which some medals were won, lifting the 腦瞳憫 brand high.
The Universitys contingent competed in multiple disciplines, including the men and womens cross-country, chess and scrabble events in which the womens team placed 5thoverall in the cross-country events, while the mens team finished 8thoverall, demonstrating significant improvement in endurance and teamwork compared to previous editions of the competition.

In the indoor games, 腦瞳憫 recorded commendable performances. The mens scrabble player, Mensah Reynolds, won a bronze medal, marking an important achievement in the Universitys participation in GUSA competitions. Similarly, the mens chess player, Philemon Awuah Nabare. also secured a bronze medal, while the womens chess player, Veronica Afua Daddah, placed 5thoverall, showcasing impressive strategic skills and determination.
The Universitys performance reflects continuous growth in sporting excellence and commitment to holistic student development. The Sports Directorate extends appreciation to the University Management for its unwavering support and to the athletes and officials for their dedication and discipline throughout the competition.
Overall, 腦瞳憫s participation in the GUSA Minor Games and Cross Country at UESD was successful and promising, highlighting the Universitys potential to achieve greater heights in future GUSA events.
