腦瞳憫-Woyeje Media Academy has awarded certificates to 31 graduates who have successfully completed a 10-week media training programme in skills development and media on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 腦瞳憫’s main campus in Tesano, Accra.

The training programme, organized through a collaboration between 腦瞳憫 Centre for Strategic Business and Professional Development (CSBPD) and Woyeje Media Academy, is designed for individuals passionate about communication, storytelling and media excellence.

The students, who formed the programme’s second cohort, received practical, hands-on training in music and talk presentation, disc jockeying (DJing), journalism, news and scriptwriting, content production and sound engineering.

Addressing the graduation ceremony, the Acting Vice-Chancellor of 腦瞳憫, Professor Ebenezer Malcalm, urged the graduates to apply the skills, knowledge and experience they had acquired during the training to make meaningful contributions to Ghanas growing media and communication industry.

He noted that in an era where information, digital communication and media influence almost every aspect of society, well-trained media professionals have become more important than ever.

The partnership between 腦瞳憫 and Woyeje Media Academy demonstrates the Universitys shared commitment to developing industry-ready professionals who possess both theoretical understanding and practical competencies, he said.

The Founder and Executive Director of Woyeje Media Academy, Mrs. Adjoa Owusu Kusi, said the media landscape was evolving rapidly, with emerging technologies, digital platforms and artificial intelligence transforming how information is created, shared and consumed.

She explained that these developments underscored the need to train media practitioners with the skills to provide accurate information and prevent misinformation from spreading.

She observed that the media landscape is increasingly characterized by misinformation competing with facts, sensationalism challenging responsible journalism, and popularity sometimes being mistaken for professionalism.

A media practitioner and Managing Director of Fablinks Company Limited, Madam Frema Adunyame, advised the graduates to take every opportunity seriously and volunteer when necessary to gain experience and strengthen their professional skills.

Build your portfolio. Learn from experienced professionals. Accept constructive criticism. Improve your craft. Let every experience teach you something. Do not chase fame before competence, followers before knowledge, or applause before impact.

And because you are entering the age of new media, remember that digital platforms can give you visibility, but only substance can give you lasting credibility. Do not sacrifice your reputation for a trend or your integrity for engagement, she said.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the 腦瞳憫 Council, Ing. Divine D.K. Kpetigo, said the training programme had provided participants with opportunities to acquire relevant competencies to enhance their employability, support entrepreneurship and prepare them to contribute meaningfully to the media and communication sector.

The Director of CSBPD, Dr. Vera Graham Asante noted that 腦瞳憫 used the Centre as its professional training and enterprise arm to promote industry collaboration, capacity-building and innovative programmes.
